Senior Fellows
An important reason for becoming an ALF Fellow is the remarkable strength of the Senior Fellows network, both those in each chapter community, and nationally. A majority of Senior Fellows continue to be actively involved, playing key roles in the governance of their chapters. Additionally, the Tacoma/Pierce County Chapter organizes an annual meeting, an annual retreat, and continued learning experiences for its Senior Fellows.
The formal and informal networks of leaders which are developed and supported by ALF continue to be utilized in leading and responding to important issues. There are numerous examples of cases in which there has been a community crisis or need and a disproportionate number of leaders who respond are ALF Senior Fellows. The national Senior Fellows network has now reached a ‘critical mass’ and is becoming more organized and active.
