NEW SENIOR FELLOWS GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
LAUNCHING ALF’S FIRST AFFINITY GROUP
Life-Work Transitions
ALF Tacoma/Pierce County is excited to launch our first Affinity Group of 2024. ALF Affinity Groups are groups of Senior Fellows that convene around a common interest or goal – it has been a very successful offering in other ALF Chapters. ALF plans to offers a diverse selection of affinity groups that will focus on a variety of issues. The first will focus on Life Work transitions. Joining an affinity group is a great way to build your network and find like-minded Senior Fellows who want to have deep dialogues and find solutions to problems in our communities and beyond.
The Life Work Transitions Affinity Group for Senior Fellows will meet every other month to provide a safe, confidential and supportive gathering of Senior Fellows from diverse classes to discuss, in an intimate setting, contemplated, current, or previous work transitions (e.g., from one full-time position to another, from full time to part-time, or into retirement), and the implications on one’s personal life, including exploring new identities and a sense of purpose. Many thanks to Miriam Barnett (Class XIII) who will gently facilitate the first few meetings until a natural rhythm is established by the participants. The group will guide the conversation and determine the best format for meeting days/times.
The RSVP for this group has closed – the group’s first meeting took place on June 12th. Please email admin@alftacomapiercecounty.org if you have questions or are interested in joining this group.
