Senior Fellows Ambassador Program

The Senior Fellows Ambassador Program (SFAP) is a new program to help create relationships and engagement between recently graduated Senior Fellows and the Senior Fellows Network. The program is intended to provide a warm introduction for recently graduated ALF Fellows into the Senior Fellow Network and to promote active engagement of new Senior Fellows in ALF-sponsored events and the broader Senior Fellows Network.

How The Program Works

1. After being matched with a recently-graduated Fellow, the SF Ambassador will reach out within 30 days to set up an in-person, informal, one-time meeting – coffee, lunch, drinks, a walk. It’s up to you if you continue to meet.

If the new Senior Fellow is not able to meet, or don’t have the bandwidth/capacity, that’s also OK. This is voluntary and meant to foster connections and relationships as it works for new Senior Fellows.

2. Ask each other open-ended questions that will help you build understanding about each other and your connection through ALF. For example:

    • What led you to get involved in ALF?
    • What energizes you?
    • What hopes or expectations do you have for engaging with Senior Fellows outside of your class?
    • What would you like to know about Senior Fellow’s activities and events?
    • What can I do as your ambassador to help you transition to being a Senior Fellow?

3. Ambassadors will share their experiences with the Senior Fellow network and can help make connections to people or resources that make sense given the conversation and respective comfort levels.

4. Ambassadors and Senior Fellows will complete a brief recap of your meeting via a Google survey to the ALF Office within ten days of your session.

Thank you for submitting your application to be an ambassador. Your application is under review, and the ALF office will contact you within the next week with next steps. If there are no matches waiting for an ambassador, then you will be added to the waitlist.
