Why does the census matter? How will it impact our community? How can ALF Senior Fellows activate their networks to reach underrepresented communities and make sure every person is represented?
We are holding TWO evening gatherings - Thursday, February 20th and Tuesday, March 3rd. YOU PICK which one you'd like to attend - the registration form will ask you to select one date!
Come have a free, delicious dinner and beverages with fun Senior Fellows and hear from Julie Anderson (Class X, Pierce County Auditor) and Seth Kirby (Class XIX, Vice President of Community Impact - GTCF).
GTCF and the Pierce County Auditors Office have partnered to organize the Pierce County Complete Count Committee, a collective of Pierce County organizations that recognize the importance of a complete and accurate census count for the well-being of our community – in 2020 and beyond. The committee includes representatives from organizations including Bethel School District, the Commission on Hispanic Affairs, Multicare, Puyallup Tribe, Cowlitz Tribe, Puyallup Watershed Initiative, Tacoma Community House, the University of Washington – Tacoma, and officials from city and county government. GTCF is partnering with additional organizations and advocates to ensure all members of our community are appropriately represented in this effort and have a stake in getting an accurate count.
