What Role Does Industry and Manufacturing Have in Tacoma-Pierce County’s Economic Future?”

Join the June 7th  First Friday discussion on a timely topic with resource persons David Schroedel (Class XXI), Vice President, Policy and Entrepreneurship for the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber and guest Meredith Neal, Manufacturing/Industrial Council Director.

Tacoma and Pierce County have a reputation and history as a laboring community with many workers in mills, plants, shipyards and processors.  How do we compare today in the region and nation and what does/should the future look like for our economic mix? Learn more about the challenges and opportunities ahead for local employers and employees.  Share your thoughts and hopes.

This is a gently facilitated no-charge event open to all classes…held at the 6th Avenue Denny’s private room from 7:30-8:45 a.m. Food and drink are available from the menu.
